“These seem to heat well. We have them on a thermostatic plug. They are a bit hotter than our Heat Trak ones. To protect them on our new composite decking, we bought black silicone mats and cut them to fit under them.”

“The mats worked great for one year. A little slippery until the matts were dry. I rolled them up at the end of the season, like they way they were shipped and stored them in the garage. Brought them out 4 weeks ago and all 4 are dead. Moved them around, brought them inside and spent the evening testing each one, still dead. Sad, they worked great, but expensive for a one winter use mat.”

“I got a set of four 10×30 mats for our deck, because I don’t want to scratch it with a shovel. They really are meant for steps or a 30″ wide path, because the connectors are too short to do anything else with them (such as making a 10″ wide path that is 120″ long). They worked great both on the 8″ snow we had the other day, and 1″ we just had overnight.”
